Chef Daniel Boulud

Daniel Boulud, a native of Lyon, France, is considered one of America's leading culinary authorities and one of the most revered chefs in New York, his home since 1982. Best known for his eponymous, exquisitely refined DANIEL on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, he has continually evolved his cuisine and expanded his reach to Canada—with restaurants in Montreal and Toronto—as well as across the United States, the Bahamas, Singapore, Riyadh, and Dubai.
His culinary endeavors have earned him numerous accolades, yet his inspiration remains grounded in the rhythm of the seasons. From his Michelin-starred flagship to his restaurants around the world, Chef Daniel’s approach remains contemporary while honoring French tradition and the enduring spirit of a life devoted to the craft of cooking.

Maison Boulud at the Ritz-Carlton Montréal

Maison Boulud offers the cuisine of a chef deeply rooted in French tradition, yet inspired by decades of experience in New York City. The menu is driven by the seasons and the rich bounty of Québec’s local purveyors.
Guests will find specialties from Chef Boulud’s acclaimed New York restaurants — from Lyonnais charcuterie and Mediterranean influences to refined takes on casual fare — alongside dishes created exclusively for Maison Boulud. The result is contemporary French cuisine that is both refined and soulful.
While located within the Ritz-Carlton Montreal, the restaurant — including its bar & lounge and two private dining rooms — has a vibrant identity all its own. The ambiance on Rue Sherbrooke reflects not only the spirit of the restaurant, but also the renaissance of the Ritz-Carlton’s place in Montreal’s cultural life.
